Default James Kirkland vs Paul Williams

Kirkland vs Williams seems like it could very well happen. I'm guessing most people are gonna back Williams to win by UD

Williams would beat kirkland easy, not that i think one is so much better than the other just the level of experience isn't the same. Especially since williams has already lost, that has probably taught him more than anything else.

This is an interesting match-up and not one i'd have thought of.

Would be exciting, but right now i believe that they need to build on their fanbases a bit more before making it a big sell.

Yep I agree, in a couple of years I think this fight could be a mega fight.

i think Williams output and stamina would be too much for Kirkland and seeing how Kirkland is a bit too open sometimes i think Williams would be able to possibly stop him with straight punches, especially the 1-2

I would actually favor Williams by TKO, Kirklands defense is shaky and Williams will hit him with everything including the kitchen sink every round for 10-12 rounds..........Kirkland has the lets mix it up mentality and has good power but he will run out of gas and take the beating of his life.....I would favor Williams over Angulo as well for similar reasons.....

I definitely would like to see those fights though.......Should be good while it lasts..

I dont think Williams runs into trouble until he gets a Pavlik or Abraham in the ring.....I am not saying he will lose those fights but it will get much closer......

Ive been yearning for Kirkland and Angulo mixing it up.That could be brutal and pretty even up.Starting to ever so slightly lean towards Kirkland in that one .

I think he and Williams might just be on two different levels at the moment. Not entirely on skillsets really...both have ragged defenses.More so on experience and big fight exposure.Williams is off of shutting out a known commodity and big time fighter in Wright and Kirkland is off trouncing a Joel Julio.A good, solid win and he showed some improvements but no Williams.Would be a decent go but Williams volume would be way too much for Kirkland right now I believe.

I think Kirkland's style will be a big issue for Williams especially the angles that the punches are coming from. Although I still favor Williams overall the first third of the fight should strongly be 10-9's for Kirkland.

As for Kirkland/Angulo exciting matchup, gotta favor Kirkland ever so slightly and ONLY because Angulo stands so straight up. And by favor I mean 50.5-49.5
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

Totally agree, Kirkland would without question get tired and possibly stopped. No one seems to be able to think Kirkland could knock him out, despite the fact he's one of the harder hitters around that weight. Is that because he isn't a HUGE puncher or is Williams just that awkward?

Williams would box Kirkland's ears off.

Kirklands power, will, and courage is impressive and admirable but he's very hittable especially by straight punches, that's why i'd even favor Mora to outbox Kirkland, and land the straight right all night, but would be a good win for Williams if he's able to pull it off, i think he would and probably by stoppage
