Just called my friend in Vegas...
I'm having him put 20 on Chocolate Candy and 30 on Hold Me Back.
I also put 25 on a Trifecta:
1. I want Revenge
2. Pioneer of the Nile
3. Quality Road

I think Dunkirk is a good bet....sure he hasn't got a lot of experience but he has a great trainer. I heard Chocolate Candy is a solid bet too.
I just hope no horseys die this year....I mean, my dog is very grateful if any keel over and get taken to the Purina factory but that Eight Belles tragedy was just heartbreaking, I had hoped that the media learned not to do those sob story puff peices after Barbaro but noooooo the media has it's templates that it MUST fill no matter what happens....it was kind of funny the way the announcers reacted after doing those "She's the only Philly in the race, and she's the sentimental favorite, blahblahblah" stories on her and then having that happen....AWKWARD
My buddies and I used to go to the track in Houston during the summer. It might have been only quarter horses though. Saturday nights after the race there was always a concert. Good times and lots of tail to be had. I wouldn't even begin to know who to bet on though. I don't think I ever won a dime.

I think theu they are honoring Eight Bells with a Tree or something like that in Museum grounds. Sad really what happened.
My friend (Jerry) who lives in Vegas is putting money on Dunkirk.
He's also putting some serious cash on Friesan Fire
Dunkirk!
Wow!!!
Sweet Mother of.... 50-1 odds wins the Derby.
Jockey Calvin Burrel has won the derby.
He won by 4 FUCKEN horse lengths. Wow!! He turned it up there and just blasted through.
1. Mine That Bird
2. Pioneer of the Nile
3. Musket Man
4. Papa Calm
For those who have yet to see it.
This is one of the most amazing races I've ever seen.
He literally came from last place all the way to 1st and still won by a huge length. If you notice at the 1:50 mark the jockey Calvin waves back "Good Bye" to the rest of the jockeys.
You gotta watch the replay at the 7:36 mark and also the final replay at the end.
