Default Bands that are huge within their country of origin but unknown internationally

Just curious to hear some bands that are big within your country but have not met with much international success.

For example, in Canada The Tragically Hip are huge. They have been hugely popular in Canada for almost two decades, but I don't believe they are well known outside the country.

god damn it Saddo that boy can sing !

When topics like this crop up I lways thinkl of John Farnham. Whereas most people in the world think he just sang "You're the Voice" twenty times at every gig he did, you don't realise he is an Aussie legend been going as long as Cliff.

And lets not forget these boys....

I wouldn't say Blue Rodeo are huge in Canada, but they are pretty big. Don't know about elsewhere though.
