Thread: Teddy Atlas' pre fight analysis must stop!

You know, that bile-inducing stuff he does with Sauuuuul or Saaaaad or whatever the guy's name is. Man, that is wearing thin. And when they both run into the water together or have a shoot-out in Tombstone (Wyatt Erp would turn over in his grave), it's puke time for me.

Am I the only one who feels this way?

It can be quite gay sometimes, but it provides the FNF crew with lot's of material to make fun of, so it can be entertaining in that sense.

Howdy there diane !! I agree with ya both but i also feel for the guy sometimes. It's a wonder he doesn't jump in the ring and try and fight himself at times. It must be really frustrating to sit through week after week of sub par fighters yet try and make us all belive they're not has gotta be hard.

It seems like an odd thing to be upset about really. It only take a couple of minutes and if you don't like it you don't have to watch.

His fight prediction suck ass. Plus he's just giving viewers migraine with his stupid and totally worthless demonstrations.

On another forum, they were doing a look a like thread, and someone posted one for Teddy, and it made me LMAO, so I thought that I would share it here.

I love Teddy Atlas. Yeah he is wrong with most of his predictions,and his demonstrations are pretty bad but you do have to think without him there would be no Mike Tyson pure and simple. He restarted that camp up in the Catskill's with Cus and he basically made Tyson who he was when he won the titles.Not Kevin Rooney who was still fighting at the time. Teddy started the punch number system back up,Basically told him how to slip and move inside to work. He does know what he is talking about and I do like his no bullshit attitude.

I think Teddy Atlas is alright as a speaker of boxing, but his babble does run off too far on a weekly basis on ESPN... I think Teddy Atlas should stick to training / coaching fighters more so than doing his commentary work....

I suppose my top guys doing the announcing are Al Bernstein and John Scully these days....... As for a "Host," I do like Jim Lampley.... NO! Lamps is NOT a boxing expert, but more so a trained voice to carry a card / event..... I miss Gil Clancy..... However, Gil is in his late 80s and in failing health..... Alex Wallau would be nice to hear again.... Wallau overcame throat cancer in the 1980s...... The rest of the lot that is active these days just merely ramble on with rhetoric bullcrap........ EEragh! Lampley had Cotto's balls in his mouth on Saturday. It was just plain terrible. Plus his whine has not reached the very high decibel mark. Yes, Scully is a clam and cool customer who really knows his stuff. I have grown to like Nick Charles and Steve Farhood recently. I met them and they were extremley engaging. We talked boxing and they know thier stuff.

Teddy is just trying to get Joe Six-pack involved in boxing....and for all the boxing fans it just shows off why Teddy hasn't trained anyone recently

Use to love when he and Max would go at it.Teddy used to get genually pizzed .All in all.....I'm alright with him.His set up pieces can be painful... a blend of Billy bob Thorton in Sling blade and some dated Andre dice clay but he does make some good observations as the rounds go by.

Poor Saul though.One night I pray for him to stop and yell at Teddy for all to witness....."YOU wear the f!!!!ng silly hat for once Punchy.........I'M OUT"

Well to tell you the truth th guy really bores me and i dont like his voice.

He's great for bettors. Just bet the opposite of what teddy picks and 9 times out of 10 you'll win some money.
