That is so refreshing Andre, you can smell it haha.Never even close to towing or finding monsters like some of those and would be another clip for the last vid.Got over to Ala for a day and it was a boarder line wading pool.Skim boarders were having a blast though haa.Have to get out of the concrete and fumes around here and get back at it.....re charge and re-ground .It has that effect bud.The gulfs pretty calm so far,of course thats a double edged sword around here

And with the way the hurricane season is shaping up, not looking like you'll be getting any or much help from that particular force of nature either in the wave building dept. You'll notice I haven't started my typical tracking hurricane season thread yet. You can blame that on El Nino. Gonna be a slow year. Season is still young tho!
p.s. One day I am going to surf. Now that I am over my fear of water, why not have a go at chewing on some coral, eh?
If I could pick the way I die that would be one of the ways; ride it out and get pounded into the surf and choke on water. I surfed when I was 7 in Cali; though it was more like getting on the board and falling over so that doesn't really count. Then moved to Tx. and well I became interested in oil and gas![]()

That's amazing. Tnx for posting it.
I'm guessing surfing is one of those sports that when you see stuff like this, you kinda assume you'll just jump on board and in a few days be riding monster waves and hitting tubes and it'll be awesome!
But suspect it is likely more that I'll find out I can't barely paddle out on the board, let alone stand on it, or further more begin riding wicked waves for quite some time.lol
Prob. much like how golf went for me recently. Been watching Tiger Woods for years, thought I'd be great! It looks so easy. Next time someone asks me to go play a round, think I'll just snap a few clubs, punch myself in the face, and save alot of time and frustration.
I do want to try it tho...![]()
haha yea. That's about what I expected. Realistically, I doubt true surfing is in my forseeable future as we are so far away from the ocean, and even when going to university, still doubt it would be close enough given my plans.
What I do think is possible, and what many here do as we are in the center of the 3 largest Great Lakes, with access to lots of water and wind, can see Lake Superior from our house, is windsurfing. I see them doing it quite a bit in the bay, and know it is getting fairly popular here. I'm guessing that might help a person prepare a bit for the true surfing some time down the line. I think the gear for windsurfing is pretty expensive tho too and our season of summer is very short, so, who knows, maybe next year.![]()
This is so sick, captures the whole feeling.
I wouldnt go out.
