3 putted the 72nd hole, just needed a par to win the open at 59 years old!!
He is now in a 4 hole play off, but looks like losing

I was so-o-o-o-o-o-o sorry to see him lose. This would've been the sports story of the decade, easily. Almost 60 years old, and he almost wins the British Open. I hopes he plays next year. I'll be rooting him on.
Ha I nearly broke my own record playing golf on Saturday.
I sliced the ball and was only 30 feet away from playing up the wrong fairway 2 fairways away from our tee off.
Me being the way I am figure its a benefit as I get to meet and greet so many more people that I wouldn't do otherwise.
Yeah I know,!
I usually point at my mate in the distance and say "Its his fault ,the bastard told me it was this flag over here."![]()
only bad shot he played was that putt on 18 yesterday
dont think there was a single person in this world other than stewart cink who was gutted when he missed that yesterday.
Gotta give the old croner all the credit in the world though, if they still chuck him off the circuit when he turns 60 it`ll be a disgrace!
one dangerous horrible bloke
