Whos headin to this fight on Oct 17th. Me and my brother are headin down there for this one. Lookin forward to it. I see Froch takin out Dirrell but will be a good fight, bit like the Pascal fight but Dirrells chin won't hold up as well.....

I respect your opinion Magic Mac but Dirrell fights nothing like Pascal. Dirrell is a boxer who is very athletic and quick. He won't be in front of Froch throughout the night. He has nice angle work. The thing Froch has going for him is his chin and his exceptional endurance. The guy can flat out outwork a much better fighter like Dirrell. I think all these super 6 matchups are nice and interesting.
I might go down. It should be a good fight. I hope it will be on TV this time. If it isn't, I’m defiantly going.
This what think will happen.
For sure, I get what your sayin, didn't get that one altogeher right. Although, did you see the Pascal - Diaconu fight, Pascal was very quick and his movement and quick combination punching was top for the first 6 -8 rounds. Thats what won him the fight, and he didn't really fight anything like that against Froch. I think Froch drew him in to a brawl more than anything. If the fight stays a pure boxing match, Froch is just too slow for that game.
Its only a 10 minute bus trip, if its reasonably priced...Anybody know how much the tickets will be?
Maybe i'll see you guys down there then. I would imagine a normal ticket will be £40 - £50 but thats a guess. Tickets are supposed to be already on sale according to something i read but their not and it doesn't actually say when they'll be. Keep checkin here i guess Hennessy Sports Tickets Powered by Ticketline
Tickets are on sale for this one now. I just booked mine so really lookin forward to this. Not sure about the undercard..... Anyone else decided whether theyr'e headin down there??
I think I will drive up from sunny Kent for this one, been looking forward to a good fight to go to for a while now.
Not seen enough of Dirrel to pass judgement but from what i have seen i say he's well out of his league.
Really only See Kessler and Froch as the two top men and it's a pick em between the two.
Great idea this and can't wait for it to start.
Got my set of tickets last night from Seatwave. 2nd tier seats. Not sure how good these will be as have never been to the Nottingham arena although my friends and I are looking forward to it. Hope the views are better than those I got for the Calzaghe vs Manfredo fight I watched in Cardiff where I could barely see anything (crappy seats on pitch).
My £ is for Froch to win this first bout despite Dirrell having the height and speed advantages. Why?
(1) He has home advantage and Dirrell has not fought professionally outside the United States before.
(2) Dirrell has not fought a fighter of Froch's calibre before. He is not used to being taken into the trenches and will struggle,
(3) Froch, whilst not the most gifted of the super 6 is up there with Kessler as being very mentally tough which will help see him through the later rounds. It is simple, he does not know how to quit.
Will post some photos for this when I get them.
Unfortunately, I will not be able to afford to go to all of these fights so am hopingn that BBC or ITV (UK channels) get the rights to show these. I have literally just started a facebook group campaigning for this. If you have a second can you sign up your support here. Thanks!
