Thread: Who wins Mayweather or Marquez?

Been away for a while due to my computer having a bitch fit so although this probably has already been done I was wondering who you guys think will win this fight. Mayweather. I see the fight as most likely going one of two ways. One, Mayweather is just too sharp for Marquez and as he shakes of the rust begins to punish the smaller fighter, eventually stopping him. Two, Mayweather is rusty and Marquez runs up the score in the early going leading to a hard fought fight that could go either way on the cards leading to Mayweather winning a disputed decision. I think the former is most likely.

Me too. I see a late Mayweather stoppage!

JMM SPLIT Decision....I think he'll land better than Hatton did, Floyd will be slightly weight drained, and I think the workrate from Marquez will win the fight.

JMM i think he will show he is number one fighter with his ring smarts and absolute determination to win.

Surprised so many are going for JMM.

Floyd has pretty much every possible advantage over Marquez. Speed, size, power, reach, height, technique, defence etc etc...

Marquez has great ring smarts, but PBF has too if not better. The only area I feel Marquez is better than PBF is heart, but either way the odds are well and truly stacked against him.

I think PBF will be the first man to stop JMM, I predict within 8 rounds too.

Well Floyd had to come DOWN in weight which he apparently had great trouble doing, he's older, and in his most recent fights with guys who can counter he has lasted the distance AND had trouble a time or two. I think this fight will more than likely resemble the Jose Luis Castillo fights, either JMM does a number on Floyd or gets a number done on him...I just think that JMM will make it very hard on Mayweather because JMM may be the only guy that is in his relative prime and can adjust in the ring as good as he can.

Mayweather for me like a few people have said seems to hold every advantage going.

Mayweather for me too - as has been said he holds all the physical advantages and is also a fantastic fighter.

I think a lot of people are inclined to call against Mayweather because they hate him and hope that he is brought down a peg or two rather than because they really think that he will lose.

FWIW not only do I think that Floyd will beat JMM but he will then go on to defeat Pacquiao if the fight happens! But then I also freely admit that my opinion aint worth s**t I also thought that Hatton would beat Pacman lol!

Marquez will get stopped around round 9 I think, possibly earlier

Floyd will win late stoppage 9 rounds, I hope JMM does see the end of the fight.
