Apparently Freitas went to the home of this kid who was dating his 17 year old niece and confronted him, pissed off trying to find his niece. Later that day a group of armed men took the niece's boyfriend and a friend of his gunpoint, the guy dating the niece was then killed and his friend managed to get away.

Freitas admits to going to the guy's home the day of but said he didn't make any threats, and that he's a peaceful person who's having his name dragged through the mud, etc.

It definitely does seem like suspicious timing But he'll probably get off in the end.

If its not one fighter this year its then next either going to jail being investigated for a crime or dying in a horrible fashion....

Freitas had his marriage televised live in Brazil. He has Lula da Silva the president of Brazil on speed dial. When Silva was seeking reelection he was in a very tight race. Silva blew open the race after Freitas endorsed him. Freitas runs Brazil. No charges will be filed. If for some reason they are, he will never be convicted.
