Default Cleverly to travel to Italy for euro shot:

OPI 2000 (Salvatore and Christian Cherchi) won today in Rome at the EBU’s headquarter the purse bid to stage the vacant EBU light heavyweight championship between Antonio Brancalion and Nathan Cleverly. OPI 2000 with an offer of €63,717 outbid Frank Warren Promotions (€60,000) and Double “A” Promotions (€27,500).

I think Warren will let him go the guy hes fighting is nothign special and was knocked out in a round by Brahmer, I fancy Clev to stop him.

Cleverly's also used to fighting on the road, hasn't fought in Wales in years anyway, so a nice weekend away in Italy should be a treat!

I agree that Cleverly should have the tools to bring home the belt against this guy, and that Warren will let him go for this one on foreign soil.

He'll have to be on top form, you need a knockout to get a draw over there.

    Not neccesarily

whole different ball game when you go to somewhere like italy

though its for a vacant title cleverly will have to take this off the italian as everything from the ring size to the ref is gonna be designed to suit him.

Of course it will be set up to suit the Italian, but this guy has a history of being outworked, as well as his most recent KO. Every time he's come up against quality he's been overwhelmingly outworked (Drews), or battered to KO (Braehmer).

I agree Clev has to either KO him or make it inarguable as a contest to take the title, but I think that is something he can do.

The good thing about fighting in Italy is you don't have to worry about piling up points.

Clevs never actually fought out of the UK and while im in no doubt he`ll win the fight he is gonna have to contend with a whole new ballgame

The fighter himself wont tell us anything new about nathan. But the fight will answer a few questions ive no doubt about that!!

Risky to fight in Italy but Nathan should be good enough to win hopefully.
