Default Haye could be good for the division.

I havnt seen the fight yet but im glad he came through and won it. It was a tough matchup winning on points in Germany against a 7foot beast and with a possible broken hand so miraculous really. Hope he goes to America and shines cos there's some good matchups out there.

Haye is the first real Marketable champion since the last golden era of HW's in the 90's. The Klits are just too boring, fair enough Haye wasn't exciting last night but it was understandable tactics that he employed, and I think even the likes of Ali would have employed similar tactics had Valuev been in the real "golden era".

Styles make fights, and Valuevs style is to use his size and just walk forward and close the ring down, against most of todays HW's it works because they are so damned slow but he couldn't handle Haye's speed and admitted it after the fight.

I agree Haye will be good for the division, but now he fights Ruiz who can be awkward to look good against but Roy Jones showed he can't deal with speed very well and had Roy had the power of Haye he WOULD of KO'd Ruiz!

Oh my God rjjtszyu, get your waders on everybody the bullshit is getting really deep in here.

Holy crap, "he had to fight that way"....really Haye had all the time in the world to counter Valuev, why didn't he? Was he going to tire out? Was he going to put himself in too much danger?

Awwww Haye had a broken hand, what a dainty little flower, "oh dear I hurt my back", "oh goodness gracious me I broke my hand".....in the immortal words of Don Corleone "ACT LIKE A MAN!".

Haye can keep talking his shit, I'm awaiting him getting KTFO and with the way he fought last night it doesn't look like I'll have to wait long....although it could be YEARS before Haye sets foot in the ring again.

You just remided me of when Vitali pussied out of the fight when he hurt his poor little shoulder against Byrd. And before you say how serious it was, lookup dislocated shoulder and Danny Williams.

Well the main difference between Vitali/Danny Williams/Evander Holyfield's injury is that they tore a group of muscles and DW and Evander fought through it but their careers were adversly affected by fighting through the pain...I mean it caused only the 2nd KO of Evander Holyfield's career and I know you're not calling him a whimp.....I would hope not, but then again it's obvious you have downed a couple gallons of the David Haye Kool Aid

No Holyfield is my all time favourite HW. I'd never belittle him in any way. At the end of the day though he carried on.

I think the be all and end all is that Haye won the belt, Valuev's style, awkwardness and size contributed towards it being a very lacklustre performance but in the end, whilst this fight hasn't exactly proved that David Haye is going to knock the rest of the division out it hasn't exactly disproved it either.

Whether you wanted Haye to spark Valuev
    or
you wanted Valuev to show that haye's speed counts for nothing and his 'china chin' would have him running from the division

It doesn't matter which... it was a none result either way... lets see him on with guys like Ruiz/Peter/Cris Nipple etc.
