Default Boxing Preview: Jean Pascal vs Adrian Diaconu

Tonight there will be a huge boxing gala taking place in Montreal. As the main event scheduled tonight, the much anticipated rematch between Jean Pascal and Adrian Diaconu will take place.

Some of the other fights included in the card will be the return of Eric Lucas and the WBC Youth Inter-Continental championship fight between David Lemieux and Delray Raines.

For those who are not yet familiar with Jean Pascal, the young, 27 years old, boxer from Montreal, should take a closer look at his record and what he has been able to accomplish in such a short career.

Pascal is the reigning WBC light heavyweight champion, a title he has earned after defeating Adrian Diaconu in June of this year.

Previously, Pascal fought a courageous bout against Carl Froch for the WBC super middleweight title, in which he lost the match but gained huge respect from the boxing community.

AS we know how most of the rematch happens, we have to give Jean Pascal the edge. However, we should not get surprised if ever Diaconu pulls that one with a stunning K.o around the 10th.

Nah Jean Pascal wins again for me, too fast too elusive. I don't really see what Adrian Diaconu can do different, he's the type of guy that always fights one way, and thats coming forward looking for the KO.

To be honest i thought Jean Pacal mostly dominated the fight, i have no idea how the commentators had it closer. They were watching something completely different to me, plus Jean Pascal should of had 2 knockdowns in his favor.

I sorta like Diaconu because he seems so vicious. I never had a chance to see the first fight. I'll watch it before the second fight.

Was Diaconu in bad shape for the first one?

I don't know His conditioning seems to be suspect. He runs out of steam late in fights so for Pascal the first half of the fight will be dangerous.

I took Diaconu in the prediction league(I believe I'm the only one that did) not only cause I need to make up some ground on the leaders but also because Pascal has a suspect chin IMO. I wouldn't be surprised if Diaconu stopped him...but Pascal on points looks like the safe pick.

His conditionning wasn't suspect but the guy just didn't want to to everything he had to to win. Now he does and reports are that this time, he did listen to his coach for every single letter. As he wont be ringrust like the first time, it could be interesting. PAscal UD is the safest pick but though ICB disagrees, I say that Diaconu via KO is possible around the midfight.
