I'm doing a 20+ pager on these stories, and I'm just looking for some fresh ideas...

man this will be of no help because it was a while back and I bsed my way on the exam and essay somrhoe and didn't even read incidents of a slave girl even though it was an assigned reading. I think one of the big things was that even "good" white man didn't do anything about it all, although they may have thought it was terrible how certain slave masters treated their slaves they didn't do anything about it and thus were sort of indifferent to it. Another big theme was that being a slave was bad, being a female slave was even worse because they didn't even have control over their own body and could pretty much be taken by their master anytime the master so chose. Sorry probably not much help but I figured nobody else has replied.
