    Default Getting Back that Motivation?

Hi guys i just needed some advice on how to become motivated to compete again. I have been boxing for a number of years and have had 15 amateur fights but iv'e seemed to lost the drive and motivation i once had to train hard and look forward to fighting and winning . Part of me is saying i should pack it in and look towards another challenge like competing in MMA. Thoughts please

This question is probably better suited to the Ask the Trainer section. I'll move it, you should get some good advice there.

I would do nothing for 6 months.

Eat badly, no exercise, lots of alcohol.

Take a picture of your yourself naked after 6 months.

Show it to girls for comments.

That should provide plenty of motivation.

Firstly, if you havent trained or competed for a while part of it may be a reluctance to having to go through a process you already know will be gruelling. Plus already knowing/experienced/understanding the rewards. You've climbed that mountain already.

If you dont feel you have anything more to prove (to yourself or others) and are not getting much out of boxing, then sure, maybe it is time for something else. If you feel MMA might fuel your fire, go for it. If you have thought of others things, go for it. While this is a boxing forum first, it is also a place for logic and reason.

Life is short, man. And you only get one time around. Boxing will always be here if you do decide to try other things.

    Good advice from mr YoungBlood.

I think motivation takes a real goal to be set.To set one and have the passion to carry it out you need to realy know your own heart and what you want after its all said and done.

Could of ,would of , should of; are nowhere on the scale of, I did.
Even if its only "I did try it once." its more than most will do.

    I can explain it.
