I know we've done dog posts before, but I was hoping to see all of your dog pictures.
Here's my dog Vishnu, he's a Welsh Corgi mix. He's 5 in human years, very chill, very friendly.

For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.
My dog Biff is 5 as well. He's a hound mix, I'm not 100% sure but I'm leaning towards him being majority Plott Hound.
Haha, yeah he does look a little dressed up....it's part of the reason I picked him out. He was in a litter of 7 and his brother was the total opposite of him brendle all over with a white chest and his sister looked exactly like him but I wanted a male dog so I picked him out. He has some brendle "lapels" on his tux (if you will) and the funny thing is everytime a black guy saw him whether we were at PetSmart or at the dog park they would say "Man, he looks like he has some Pit in him, he's got them tiger stripes", but for a while before his snoot grew out I did wonder if he was part PitBull. I got him when he was a tiny little pup, maybe a couple months old. he was maybe 3-5 pounds when we got him and now he's a hair over 60 but still very lean, he's maybe 2 feet tall at the shoulder. He's really well trained, I never had any trouble with him going in the house, he was basically housebroken when we got him because he had such obvious tells. He is a very laid back and relaxed dog as you would expect any good Southern Hound dog to be, but when he was ready to go he'd get really wild and after doing that he'd piss so I put 2 and 2 together and when he started "acting up" I would take him outside and bang problem solved. He was also crate trained which I cannot tell you how important that is...he loved his kennel, he'd go in there if he was scared of a thunderstorm or if he had been bad and gotten punished he'd go pout in there or if he wanted to have a treat and be alone he'd go in there, he loved that kennel, but he has a gigantic bed now so I'm sure he's over it. He also loves rolling in the dirt and also laying in the sunshine...stereotypical southern hound dog.
How about your pup?

I don't have any dog pictures with me, but we had a pet dog for many years. He was a really funky and cool golden retriever called Buster (too many dogs get called Buster). We had many wild adventures in the woods when I was growing up and we had great fun going on long walks. When I left for Korea he was still vibrant and full of life, but the last time I saw him he had got really old and it was quite upsetting seeing him limp around like an old man. A year or so ago my mum told me that he had had some kind of seizure and the vet recommended putting him down. I know dogs get old, but I felt kind of guilty having abandoned him. I was the only one who took him on walks and had fun with him really. It was great seeing him again because he recognised me immediately, I was half thinking I would be a stranger. But no, he had the same old reactions but was just much slower.
I wouldn't mind getting another dog at some point, but I live on the 8th floor and have no garden. There just isn't the space for a proper dog to run around or get out to stretch his legs. It wouldn't be fair. Also there is the risk that he might get eaten. Haha, just joking on that part. Koreans don't seem to have proper dogs and by that I mean big, strong dogs. They have these genetically engineered mutants that look a little bit like rats instead. If you stood on one it would be crushed.
Maybe when I got old and retreat to the countryside I will get a new one and we can get old together then. I find dogs to be better company than a lot of people.
I used to shoot dogs with my BSA 240 Magnum, I really regret that.
I have a pic of my sisters dog which I shall find, he was in a tux and looked cute enough to shoot.
Cool man, thanks for sharing. We got Vishnu when he was only 8 weeks old, his ears were the same size as the are now. There was a litter of 6 puppies and he was passed out while we were there so we picked him. He's super submissive around other dogs and cats so he gets along with pretty much everybody. It was really easy to house break him, and get him to walk to the side of me instead of ahead of me. He's actually a long, short dog so he naturally sits all the time, so that was easy too. We tell people he's part cow, because of the cow spots and the fact we don't know what else he is. He hates when skaters ride by our house and he barks like mad at them, but that's about it.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.
I can't tell you how many times Biff has almost made someone fall off our porch because he barks at them. Those dudes selling pinestraw, Jehovah's Witnesses, kids selling magazines....there's all kinds of iratating people he scares off....I try to get him to avoid barking at the pizza man, and the girl scouts bringing cookies but hell the dog lights up every time the doorbell on The Simpsons goes off much less our own doorbell.
We recently had someone attempt to break in our house and thankfully they didn't get in because I fear for what they would have done to Biff....although for a while I think he would more than hold his own. They tried to kick in the door and Biff was sectioned off in a different part of the house but had they wanted to get anything of value they would have had to have gone through his part of the house.....now he's got free reign so if they ever came back he'd be at the front door to greet them
Miles, you happen to be in the land of one of the greatest breeds of dogs of all-time. I may be biased because I own two. In the south of the country, there is an island called Jin, and the dog that hails from the island is called Jindo-Gae. Remarkable breed. It is a national treasure. Exporting them is actually illegal although in Koreatown in Los Angeles, which is near where I grew up, they are relatively common. Jindos are a guy's dog if you will: cunning, feril, vicious but sociable. Although Koreans would hate this comparison, it is like a smaller version of an Akita. If I lived in Korea, I would take a day trip to the island of Jin. Try to go.
My beloved little dog Jess is very sick at the moment. She is a little black jack russell/spaniel. I'll put a picture up later. She was fine until christmas, running round like a maniac like she always has (she's ten) then the next day could barely walk. I guessed she had strained something but the vet says its arthritis. She hasn't got better yet and is collapsing when she walks, but she still trys to run up to me when i walk in. I've got her on medication and i really hope she gets better, because if she stays like this I will have to do the right thing by her, which is have her put down.
So at the moment its wait and see and hope. She needs to improve soon.

That is true. They are pretty impressive dogs. I've lived for several years in a satellite of Seoul and have only ever known one family who owned a Jindo. They used to tie it up and it seldom ever got off of its chain. I have no idea what became of him. Most of the Koreans I see in my daily life have these horrid little rats and they are often dyed bizarre colours and have ribbons in their hair. It is supposed to be cute, but just looks freaky. Most Koreans in the city live in high rise boxes, so the ability to own a good dog is really very restricted. I'm sure there are more Jindo's owned in the countryside and in the south like you mentioned, but I have rarely seen any on my travels. I've never been to Jindo (do means island so all Korean island names end with the word do).
Yea, I'm not Korean, but I speak Korean (or my horrible rendition of it) to my jindos: "Yogiwa" which means "come here" and "anjo" which means "sit."
When I was there, I never saw a Jindo and was on the look out too. You're right though I imagine having a Jindo in a major city in Korea would be very difficult.
My girlfriends dog... I don't think it realises that I could quite easily and would quite happily eat the bitch.
It's a Bicon Frise... it's mental... absolutely hilarious... really affectionate, goes hyper active and then half dead every other minute and is constantly after my dinner...
I will have it for dinner if it keeps up it's crap! :P

her hair looks pretty awful there... she was really matted so they clipped almost all of her hair off... but not her head for some reason, she looks like steqie griffin with bambie's body... I can't talk either mind... but I've been wearing a headguard, just got back from sparring and she was after my chicken!
