    Default Home grown medicine.

My Father in law the poor bloke is dieing at the moment and its slow as fuk he has the last stages of lung cancer and cant even move an inch without gasping. Cant sleep well either as he is mentally sharper than most people I know out here in this world. He's only just been put on morph (to help him on his way) cause there is no pain associated with it so they cant just give it to them cause he wont lie and fake pain.(Old school).

But given a choice he was into something else.

My misses 's brother who's around 50 too baked him some special cookies from a plant his mates grew so good old Jeff at 84 years had his first taste of Gunja and he slept very well.

    Two cookies tonight..

Sorry to hear that mate....Glad he has had a good nights rest...I am not sure about the whole pain thing though...My Aunt had Lung cancer and she had tremendous pain from it....The coughing and the pain in the chest and back was awful!!!!!!...He must be a tough gent....Like you said old school they just sucked it up back then...

Well regardless of why they are giving him the morphine be it pain or just to help him get along at least he is getting some relief.....

My prayers for him and the family

Amat was right all along.. Weed has it's value....

It's good to hear he was able to get some relief... It's a bit of a shame that with all the pharmaceuticals we have now, they weren't able to really prescribe him something that could ease his discomfort...

If you fancy trying your own hand at some home remedy, there is a company in Australia that sells bonofide opium poppy seeds..
    Shaman Australis Botanicals

It's legal to have and grow them, just if the pods are found in a state of being cultivated, then you probably in big trouble... But I can't imagine too many people being suspicious of the weird old hippy surfer dude next door growing any illegal plants

You can make him up a little opium tincture like they had in the good old days, before politics got in the way of people dipping into their medicine cabinets for a good time..

Considering that they are allowing more cocaine and heroin to produced than ever before it makes me seriously question the judgement and motives of our governments. Oh, but we are winning the war on terror, right?

I think whatever makes peace in the world is a good thing and if that means eating special cookies too then so be it.

    All the best, Andre.

Cheers, watching the poor old dude die this slowly has me thinking im going to get some heroin and put it away for my own fast demise.

Talking to many nurses and doctors they cant work out why it isnt legal for medical use in these dire situations. Morph is second to it and they know it.

Its the sermon from the mount over legislators and bureaucrats who would dictate morals for those who actually endure family tragedy on an everyday basis. Some get it...but most dont.Anything that brings the stricken comfort and eases pain should be welcomed.Much more serious concerns...you know....wars,poverty,and absolute shit economy,etc......that deserves the attention.Best of luck Andre, hang in there and sounds as though he's in caring hands with you and the family at his side.
