Default Jhonny Gonzalez vs. Antonio Davis.

Davis was really going for it in the first round, had good success with his jab and was testing Jhonny's chin.

IMO Gonzalez should rematch Nishioka, he was having his way with him up until the lucky shot, i actually wouldn't mind seeing a bout between Gonzalez and Vazquez Jr.

i thought jhonny gonzalez looked sharp in destroying davis. don't think he can beat either juanma lopez or yuriorkis gamboa but maybe has a chance against toshiaki and cristobal cruz.

I just love the kill or be killed style, did you notice what happened when Davis tried to clinch? A small step back and lightning quick uppercuts.

under nacho beristain, it looks like jhonny is a big more aggressive. if he can improve his defense, i think he can still win a world title. he's still young and doesn't seem to have lost much. granted, antonio davis is 37 years old but he was still a viable opponent. i'd like to see him rematch nishioka. i think he can beat him. heck, he had the japanese in trouble in the first round but got careless and was KTFO.

Good stuff Sheep thanks for posting...

Jhonny's looking solid there aggresive yet controlled and the trademark on guard stance that Nacho brings to all his fighters...

    Jhonny vs. John anyone?

Gonzalez would kill Chris John IMO, too strong, just as fast, and way more relentless than Juarez

To be fair a three-toed sloth is more relentless than Juarez for the first 11 rounds.

i'm just saying that when Juarez finally turned it on he completely overwhelmed John and almost had him out of it in the final round of the rematch, and well given the lack of power that John has i'd say he's about the perfect pick for Gonzalez to pick up another title

John's ring generalship might prove to be more superior than that of Jhonny's...Why not fight Peñalosa again?

All three of Jhonny's recent losses he was ahead on the cards when he got stopped. John would have a hard time with Gonzalez when he gets going, John is a very good boxer, but he has very little power to keep Jhonny honest.

only chance i'd really give John is if Gonzalez gets tired, other than that i say Jhonny takes it, he was beating Vazquez handily up until he tired and Vazquez was able to land gloves on him more frequently

    jolz,

lol...gerry is done as in he'll never fight for a world title again. jhonny is younger with many years ahead of him.
