Default Floyd already talking about a rematch with Shane...

FIGHTHYPE \\ FLOYD MAYWEATHER JR.: "IT'S OBVIOUS I GOT TO THIS POINT DOING SOMETHING RIGHT"

Trying not to read too much into it, but I would have thought he would have been one and done with Shane. Unless he feels it will be another ricky hatton easy 20million..

Floyd says of himself that he is "an entertainer period". Absolutely, the Baldomir fight was the finest example of boxing entertainment ever. That one had me really on my toes. Playing it safe and toying with a blown up Marquez had me ready to explode with wonder and delight too. I respect Floyd a lot as a fighter, but is he heck an entertainer. Arturro Gatti was what I call an entertainer. Someone who let it all hang out in the ring and even if he lost he gave you your money's worth. Floyd does just enough and with his defensive style is never going to be an entertainer in the way a boxer should be. As much as I respect Floyd, I actually find him quite boring to watch, especially when he's in fights that are poorly matched like Marquez and Baldomir.

Sorry for the little rant, but that comment just bugged me a little.

I did find that odd Mayweather talking about giving Mosley a rematch. Mayweather should win but Mosley is no walkover. I like watching boxing for the science of it and Mayweather is the epitome of boxing. Hit and not be hit. And even though Mayweather is tough to like personally he is right that he is doing something right. He does receive the best paydays and produce the most PPVs. But if he wasn't so talented he would probably be looked at as another Tarver. Having more talent in the mouth than in the body.

I agree with Miles - Floyd is not in the boxing business to entertain, he is in the boxing business to make money.

I love everything about floyd. Especially when he's pissing people off.

He's the pound for pound best and no one will beat him.

He is NOT P4P the best the title belongs to MANNY PACQUIAO......

Guess he will have to lose some of that dignity and chance Manny being on a roid rage in a fight to claim that title...

    UNLESS

Being P4P means nothing to him as long as he is entertaining

i'm comfortable with my sexuality so I can say I love floyd.

Manny WAS pound for pound best. Her got the title by default when floyd retired. Floyd's back now so time to give it back.

Also look at the now. Floyd is fighting Shane Mosely, Manny opted to fight Josh Clottey. Nuff said.

    Floyd is the man.

Mayweather style is very entertaining, he does things nobody else can do. I would rather watch that a million times than watch two limited guys bang away at eachother. Sure if PAcquiao and Cotto fight its a different story, but for the most part he is way more exciting than most fighters out there.

Mayweather is a defensive guru, but look at a guy like MArgarito who throws over a thousand ugly punches every fight, I think it looks horrible.

I see where you are coming from, but Floyd is an aquired taste. I prefer to watch someone like Toney, who has slickness but will still take an opponent into the trenches. I also love to watch Joe Calzaghe, who isn't slick, but brings the fight, has great ouput and is very versatile. Those are two contrasting styles that I really enjoy. I agree that someone like Margarito is ugly, he has a high punch output which should appeal to me, but is so crude and limited, and that actually puts me off.

Calling Mayweather boring earlier i saw. What fight of those was boring?

If we picked out his last fights which other one was boring besides Baldomir?

alright, Corley, Bruseles, Gatti, Judah, Baldomir(boring), De La Hoya, Hatton, Marquez.

Which of those besides Baldomir was boring?

I pointed out Baldomir and Marquez, but would also add the DLH fight as nothing much was happening there besides potshotting. Even the Hatton fight is tedious. Good to watch the first time, but neither fighters are throwing punches. Not a fun fight to watch really. The other fights do have their moments; especially the Gatti one. If only Floyd would open up earlier against more opponents, but he plays it so safe. That does turn people off.

Dela Hoya and Marquez were dull, albeit impressive, fights.
