Default being a congressman, how much will it affect pacquiao's boxing career?

    imagine this.

floyd can brag he slapped a congressman (if floyd fights pacquiao eventually)

michael buffer will introduce pacquaio as "the fighting congressman..."

floyd-pacquiao might not happen anymore. floyd might say he doesn't want to beat up a congressman.

Give his fans a reason if he loses. They can always say "Well he wasnt in love with boxing anymore, he was running for congress, if Pac had been in his prime(like the fight 5 months before) he would have beaten Floyd!"

pacquiao made boxing history again as the first active pro boxer who holds an elected public position at the same time. (?)

Floyd is the best pure boxer around but if Manny and Floyd had the same reach and size PBF is in deep trouble. Anybody who does not recognize Floyd's size advantage over Manny is blind. 5 inch reach differential does Matter.

How is he even remotely qualified to be a politician? I understand that most of it is accepting bribes and appointing cronies, but still.

not really, he was always busy with other things. he juggles singing, acting, tv hosting, tv ads and boxing all at the same time. it made some fans worry cause he might undertrain for a fight cause he was doing so many things. but it doesnt affect him at all.

definitely he's qualified or else he's not allowed to run (and eventually got elected). as what arum said, philippines reps are just the same with usa reps, they do nothing in congress.

whats happening to our country? nothing man.. its still the same crap. i mean people expect the politicians not to be corrupt but when they hand out money people will vote for them. it will be 3rd world till the end of time. pacman probably is a breath of fresh air since he came from the poorest so his heart wont be questioned. i dont know how he will do drafting laws and passing them though.
