Thread: Are Roach and Chavez Jr a good pair?

I hope so, if not I dont see Chavez Jr being around for much longer. This fight with duddy will reveal alot.

I agree, i think this is make or break for Chavez. He can't keep fighting bums, it's time to step up.

Chavez Jr is only 24, He has a lot more maturing. Since he didn't have much of a amateur career to maximize his earning potential his opponents were hand picked toward his development as a pro. He is far from being done even with a loss. Expect to see more of Chavez Jr.

i absolutely disagree with the TS. this will only be chavez jr.'s first fight under the tutelage of freddie roach. give the guy a chance. besides, he's only 24 yo., still learning and in his physical prime. many times it takes a fighter/trainer to gel. you can't expect chavez jr. to be a finished product after just one fight.

No more baby sitting for him. People sick of it. C'mon now, Feed him to the lions already. Let's see what the kid is really made of.
