Lol thanks man. I had to do the general cleaning on the last day of the year. Imo it's a good way to approach the new year.

I fucking love SG's. Great guitars.

They are great guitars, I had one which I left in the UK until my mother decided to flog it to pay off unpaid bills. I wasn't too impressed by that.

I only have my acoustic these days and that stays firmly here in Korea.

One of my goals for 2011 is to learn or begin to at least play the guitar. I havent bought one yet but I have a cheapo accoustic guitar to mess around with. Im thinking of getting a teach yourself guitar DVD jobbie but thought I'd ask if there is any online learning you guys who play would recommend? Im an absolute beginer so go easy

I pretty much taught myself, but I don't play anything fancy. I know how to put my chords together, but am useless when it comes to lead guitar.

I usually just go over to ULTIMATE GUITAR TABS ARCHIVE | 300,000+ Guitar Tabs, Bass Tabs, Chords and Guitar Pro Tabs! find a song and then learn it. All the chords are annotated, so you just need to put the time in and work on your fluency. It took me a month or so before I made any real progress, but then it all just seemed to fit into place. Playing guitar is like riding a bike, once you have the basics you never forget how to do it.

I've had a Fender Strat for 20 years. Wouldn't call myself a guitar player, just know a bunch of chords/riffs to songs and albums I like. I used to travel to shops to copy tab, these days it's laughable how easy everthing is on the internet.

It's great, it really is.

I remember as a kid going into the instrument shops and having to order music for the albums I liked. Nowadays all there at the click of a button. Amazing really.

I want one, too! Oh wait, I don't know how to play. Would it work as a paperweight?
