I work for a big company, and a few months ago they sent around an e-mail saying they were teaming up with a Red Cross type charity company who has a bunch of soup vans that need volunteers..
Anyway, I expressed my interest in it, and now a few months later, today is my first day to join the van and drive around feeding homeless people hot drinks and food....
My friends laughed at me when I told them I was doing this.. I'm not sure if it's completely outside my nature, but given a collective of my friends, it would be completely out of our nature..
But figuring I need to stock on up on some good Karma whenever an opportunity arises, here I go...
If movies have taught me anything, there will be a really hot, cute young girl who always volunteers there and see's me as some person doing it entirely to make myself feel better about something.. she'll show me what to do and not tolerate any idle chit chat like "what do you apart from this"? Then when we are out and I know she's watching me, but she thinks no one is watching me, I do some really sweet thing to some old homeless lady like help her tie up her Sardine tin shoes with string around them, because her back is to messed up to reach down there. I go back and the girl starts acting differently towards me, seeing this "bad boy" in a whole new light, and we bang like chinchilla's after we've finished cleaning up the kitchen on our own back at the depot.....
What a night that is in store for me...
