Both camps are in mild talks according the the net.
What would be the possible outcomes

If it would happen, I think Bute would Ko Kessler late in the fight

he was fighting the other champions in the division, trying to unify

not fighting cans like magee, jesse brinkley and miranda

also kessler managed to last 12 with andrade without the help of a referee

You just put Bute down without saying what Kessler has done other than that he unified...

Prior to Super Six, "in his prime," his biggest win was over Andrade. Unify? He unified by fighting 5'9, 35 year old Marcus Breyer. Don't forget Kessler fought cans too: Sartison, Haussler and Perdomo in a row prior to the Super Six.

Kessler's biggest win was over Froch. Fact.

Kessler's been in with better competition, but he has lost every time he stepped up, other than in the Froch fight, and that was very close.

and he lost to calzaghe in joes background...and was hardly outclassed

2nd time again away from home were he was smashed up by wards forehead

bute on the otherhand doesnt leave canada and this saved him in the andrade fight

You still haven't said anything about what Kessler actually did in his prime other than lose to Calzaghe. And Calzaghe blew him out of the water, don't kid yourself.

Kessler's best win was when he was not in his prime and against Froch. Fact. His best win in his prime was against Andrade.

My point about Beyer was that the unification with him wasn't impressive.

Did you miss the second Andrade fight? Bute fought him again and knocked Andrade out with a body shot. Leaving nothing to guess that time. It's on youtube. He also dominated Bika better than Ward.

I feel like Kessler is super overrated on these boards because of his loss against Calzaghe. I like Kessler, he's a class act outside the ring, and a great fighter in it. But, at the end of the day his biggest win was a close one against Froch.

Kessler to face Bute in Oct.

Unless his eye injury starts to trouble again, then Kessler will return to the ring in june for a fight in Denmark, before he in October or November are going to fight Lucien Bute.
In a week the dane will be in Montreal, when Bute are facing Brian Magee. They are hoping to come to an agreement for a fight in October.
- I’m flying to Canada with my promotor Kalle Saurland to see Bute in a fight, my plan is to box in june and it would be great if we could make something happend with Bute, says Mikkel Kessler.
Promoter Kalle Sauerland is optimistic
- Bute want to meet Kessler, and Kessler want to meet Bute. They have invited us to Canada to talk about it, so it’s looking real good, says Kalle Sauerland.
There have been some disagreement in the past about who’ll the rights to fight the winner of the Super Six but a fight between Kessler and Bute would settle that and the looser of the fight could meet the looser of the Super Six final.

Saurland have several possible opponents for the fight in june, but right now are the energy used to make the Bute-fight happened.

Kessler just had a good outing against Froch, what makes you think he is over the hill?

Froch shouldn't have shown Kessler respect, froch should have wanted to punch Kessler but didn't cos he had his brain outside the ring

Kessler's still in his very good years, got out from an excellent bout with Froch and is about to tune up. Still, I think Bute is fast and technical enough to get that one.
