Default Want to start following Boxing

    Hi,
I am a big fan of MMA and know everything about it and what is going on in the MMA world.
I recently wanted to start knowing everything about boxing and know whats going on.

I know quite a bit of boxing back in the days of ali and tyson but nothing of modern boxing.

I want to know what a good site for boxing news is so i can start to know whats going on.
How to know when and what channel boxing is on.

And maybe some DVDs of modern boxing that might help?

    Thanks,

Well you've found the right site for all the boxing info you want. Just watch as much boxing as you can and you will start to learn all the fighters. If you have HBO & Showtime, it's really easy to watch boxing, if not you can even catch it on ESPN Friday night fights. Here is some up coming fights:

    3/18 ESPN-FNF
3/19 Showtime-Lucian Bute and Vanes Martirosyan on the same card
    3/25 ESPN-FNF
3/26 HBO-Yuriorkis Gamboa vs. Jorge Solis
4/16 HBO-Andre Berto vs. Victor Ortiz & Amir Khan vs. Paul McCloskey
4/16 Showtime-Juan Manuel Lopez vs. Orlando Salido
    4/23 Showtime-Bantamweight tournement final

Virgin media doesn't have HBO or showtime in England you have to hope they show it on sky sports or you can catch the FNF on ESPN. The big fights are on Sky box office.

You say you know everything about MMA? Thats a big statement.

Virgin have ESPN and Eurosport for boxing and you have to pay extra for Sky Sports.

    Welcome btw.

This is the place to be to hear about the latest news mate and then other parts of the forum can be quiet insightful too! I love MMA to i like to keep boxing and MMA on the same level but its much easier with MMA as you can just follow the main organisations unlike boxing with all the different promoters and what not!

I'm suprised nobody talked about BoxRec Boxing Records. It's a excellent tool for anyone that like the sport. I'm quite surprised the UFC doesn't have something similar already.

Any fights you wish to watch, just give me a shout, or head over to the files board once you've had a few more posts, anything you need is in there for downloading archived fights or tape delays from the night befores action. Without sounding smug, like the others have said, you really could get everything you need from here. Although thats a biased opinion, so check these sites out too among many others.

Yep but be careful about the rating system. It's purely based on stat, not on judgment.
