Default Dream Fight: Pacquiao v. Gamboa

I think this fight would be amazing. If a focused Gamboa showed up, he'd be all kinds of trouble. No way due to the weight... But it would have been amazing!

Gamboa exchange punches with Pacquiao. Gamboa's goes down. He gets back up. And goes down again, but fail to beat the count this time. Moral of the story. You don't bring both hands down below your waistline if you have weak chin.

    Round 1 Gamboa is down.

    Round 2 Gamboa is down.

Round 3 Gamboa is out cold.

If fought when Manny was at 126 lbs, Gamboa has the edge because of his skill. If fought now let's say at a catchweight of 138 lbs PAC destroys him.

At Feather this could truly be an ATG fight. Obviously the size difference is too much now, but Gamboa is the most naturally gifted athlete I've seen in a boxing ring since the great RJJ and therefore I feel he may be too much for Pac at Faetherweight. If you take Solis and the common opponent factor into account Gamboa certainly looked more impressive than Pac.

Gamboa gets utterly destroyed at any weight vs Manny
What happens when this flavor of the month media darling gets hit on the chin up to now over 20 fights......anyone He learns how to count to ten. He's off balanced, very eratic, and no 2nd gear. Let the kid perfect his attributes over his vices before we get all carried away.

I totally agree. I can't pick Gamboa over Pac in a mythical matchup when Pac has been tested at this weight against MAB and JMM in back to back fights years back. Maybe when Gamboa beats elite competition then I'll give my assessment of him.

To be honest it's kind of like with Rigondeaux where people were getting carried away and calling the guy atg and all that.

shame they are so far apart in weight as gamboa is the far more effective boxer of the 2

ive no idea how pacquiaos power would equate back at feather because its been such a while but id hesent to suggest he`d be carrying the bigger bombs

    very tough fight to call
    one dangerous horrible bloke
