Thread: Why does Haye despise Wlad so much?

A fight of this magnitude speaks for itself so it doesn't need any extra hype. Haye isn't doing this to sell the fight but he genuinely dislikes the man.. but why? Is it simply because he hates Wlad's boring style just like alot of us do??

He's just being gay. It's like a stroppy kid who has had his dummy taken away.

Hopefully Wlad gives the stroppy kid a pounding.

There would have to be a fair bit of that. So you go from old man Ruiz to Harrison.....to Wlad Klitschko. Haye has been all smoke and mirrors and HW and he knows it. That's why the retirement fund was boosted before finally having to face the music that is Wlad. Now it's time to cash the chips and make sure the beating isn't too bad.

Just maybe he really believes he has gone up the right way and believes he is on track, but I think he would have to be seriously deluded to think that. Haye has talked his way through HW. He hasn't actually beaten anyone that a 48 year old Holyfield couldn't.

He hates Wlads style and boring tactics. At the end of the day boxing is what has made Haye his money and both he and Wlad are going to make career high money in this fight. If Wlad was an exciting fighter and was a huge PPV draw like Haye is in the UK you would be able to add another £10 million to each mans already very high purse (I think the estimate is already £20 million each).

Haye wins 4th round KO. remember that prediction.

No it's all mental games. Haye needs to hate Wlad as much as possible because he needs as much fire in his belly as possible.

It has to boil down to all of his corn rows being to tight. And he's a bit of a snarky twat. Maybe he's just pumping himself up

I don't think he does actually hate him. It's just part of the marketing process. Tricking punters into thinking he's got a chance. It's like a mindfuck

When he came into the hw division he wanted a short cut to fighting the top man and that was and still is Wlad. Wlad wouldnt of been that bothered in fighting a pumped up cruiserweight at that time and Haye new that imo, thats why Haye went on the offence and called Wlad and Vitali all sorts untill Wlad agreed to fighting him. Smart move if you are Haye pick up a world title and defend it against an old man and a bum and avoiding the young contenders while he goads Wlad into a mega money fight.

Wlad seems to be winning the mind games, "shake the hand" was funny, haye does not want to get "controlled" by Wlad so he is trying to build up some hate for him because he really admires Wlad for what he is doing for the heavyweight division.

I think what the pre fight hype has done is to really let Wlad shine as a personality in a way that he hadn't before. I haven't heard him speak as much as I have in the past few months and he seems like a really funny person. By contrast Haye just seems petulant and faintly ridiculous with his pouting and refusal to shake the magic hand.

Is it more or has the trash-talking from Haye quieted down a bit after the Ringside episode where Wlad scared him with his calmness.

"I love Borat by the way. Did you meet Sasha Baron Cohen? He's an awesome dude."

He's just trying to build the fight up so when he gets a battering and retires he has a nice payday to see him into retirement.
