Thread: How exactly does the rep system work

I'm new here and was just wondering

The rep system works by violence. But you should know this CommieKevin. BTW, the commie system works exactly like the rep system, just the other way round. It's like God versus Devil,lollapalooza.

I'm kind of new here too Kevin, but maybe one of the old timers or a mod can explain it to you better than I can. From the little bit that I do know, at the bottom left of the typing screen there's an option for reporting a post, and next to it, an option to add a rep comment. You can give and receive rep comments and if i'm not mistaken if you receive one, it adds to your power punches.

In the bottom left of every post, you can "Blog" the post, "Rep" or "Report a post".

"Report" is used for spam and\or abusive posts. All Mod's of that section receive an email, so they can deal with it.

"Rep" is used when you find a post usefull, funny, or what ever floats your boat. You can add a message to it, so most people use it as quick private message to each other. You have to spread it around as you can not keep giving "Reps" to just one person.

Some features of the forum require you to have at least 100 post before you can use them, but not sure if these are part of that rule.

We used to have cool clicks and sad clicks and we knew who the good posters were because of that. But like all good things like smoking in airplanes and the Whig party, this came to an end.
Not coincidentally, the member with the highest esteem in this system (wacko) left shortly after these changes were implemented.
