Default Level 1 Coaching Cert in Australia

I'm having an incredibly hard time figuring out what I need to do to become qualified as a Level 1 Boxing Coach in Australia.

I have made a large number of calls to old trainers I know (some of whom I found out aren't actually licensed!)
and a few regulatory types and I still only have a very rough direction as to what I must do.
The AIS said they would get back to me about it twice and have not.

I am only just getting back into the sport over the last few months (I haven't competed or sparred with fighters for a few years) and my contacts are few.
    Any help?

If it is under the same umbrella as the rest of the world and AIBA, then all you need to do is call you local boxing organization and find out when the testing day is for it, and where. Usually just a 1 day in class then test deal. Plus a felony background check.

That's how it is here anyway, and usually runs a few times a year. hopefully someone from Oz here can chime in. Or if you find out, let us know for the next person that wonders.

Figuring out exactly who the local boxing authority is seems to be the problem.
I'm fairly certain it would all fall under and conform to AIBA.

By the way, thanks for the advice. I will post back here when I get some answers.

    Where abouts are you exactly?

Im wondering as a couple of local coaches here have been getting buggery over insurance and public liability they just can afford it for the numbers and situatin they were in and closed down.

I suspect they train only a few top fighters at home now.
