Thread: Summer jobs - whats everyone done in the past ?

Done a few things over the years especially when I was a student.

The worst one I had was a 12 week job crushing soft drinks cans that people brought in to recycle at supermarkets and retail parks etc..

It paid really good money and gave me plenty of spare cash for term time but god it was soda pressing.

Last year I worked in my local spar store. This year I have applied for jobs in leeds, Liverpool and southport and can't get anything! I finished Uni in April and have done nothing at all. I have to redo my 2nd year though, so after my holiday in France which I am currently on I have to start doing Uni work

I did construction my first two summers after high school. After that I usually took summer school and worked at a local summer camp for kids.

On a serious note, I did a bit of construction with my uncle. In the summer of 98 we build a small road in a city called La Verne. That whole summer all I could think was the hard work still lies ahead.

I worked as a contract killer one summer, was alright. The year after got a job in a Cinema.

Did a few days in a tannery once, revolting job, smelt disgusting and acid baths all over the place. I did get to weild a massive knife but that only made me pine for the days as a contract killer
