    Default Prescott v. McCloskey

Who wins? I sort of like the styles match-up. Prescott has brutal punching power but can be outboxed. Boxer v. Puncher. Part of me finds McCloskey to have a fluid defensive boxing style, but the other part of me thinks that his boxing ability is overrated.

Mccloskey is rightfully the favorite in this one. Prescott has really good power in the first 4 or 5 rounds , but afterwards , he doesn't have the endurance to keep his power at the level before.

Mccloskey , I think will come from behind and take a very close fight- possibly with a little help of the judges.

I hear that. My only thing is that Prescott is the best boxer McCloskey has faced other than Amir Khan who beat him. Right?

For sure, but I reckon he will handle the step up in class this time around. Khan's speed was way too much for him

McCloskey will easily fiddle his way to a PTS win, IMO. McCloskey's form is arguably better than Prescott's (ignoring the Khan result, of course).

Also, Prescott's murderous punching is overrated and McCloskey has a decent looking chin.

Fiddle, fiddle, fiddle. Irish crowd roaring him own. He just needs to finish to get the nod.

(with me this confident it's a virtual cert Prescott will annihilate him)

prescotts punching power is massively overrated

think he has only KOed (appart from khan) 1 or 2 fighters with a winning record and even then they were regular losers by KO

and really khans chin was never the best at lightweight

thing thats making me think that prescott might win is coz northern irish boxers have a rubbish record in northern ireland, or it seems that way at least, everytime there is a big fight there the home fighter loses

People wanna see the Prescott - Khan return but nobody wants to see Mclosky- Khan 2. Theres no point and for those reasons I hope Prescott wins tonight.

I doubt they will give him the decision though even if he deserves it.

I agree Prescott's punch is well over rated but I hope he blows Mcclosckey out early tonight and gives Khan every reason to step in with him again.

Khan needs to do it and I for one need to see it

Since the Khan fight, I have begun to hate McCloskey he is very delusional, he thinks he was going to take over in the second half of the fight if it went on, and he cant go one sentence without mentioning Amir Khan.

Prescott looked ok in his last fight but I don't think he is good enough to beat McCloskey I hope he does but doubtful. 116-112 McCloskey.

McKloskey didn't win that fight. He won no more than 4 rounds.

Good battle, but he took too much punishment early on.

I was wrong about McCloskey "fiddling." He showed great heart and really fought his way back from a bad start.

I don't think it was a robbery. It was a cracking close fight. Unlucky for Prescott he was the away fighter. Never gonna get the decision against a guy with great crowd support like that.

Mcloskey showed alot ov heart but a still don't think he done enough. Keep in mind the early knock down. The sky coverage inbetween rounds wos pretty bias also just showing clips ov mcloskeys wee flurries right at the end ov most ov the middle rounds and not prescotts strong jab and rights hands hope this doesn't mean a khan v mcloskey rematch

A draw would of been a fair decision, if Prescott had McCloskys fitness he would be quite formidable and the funny thing is he looked the fitter better conditioned man, McClosky looked very soft but showed good heart, not a bad fight all told.

It goes to show you that muscle doesn't always mean better fitness or boxer.
