Thread: Is Chavez Jr. still fighting Peter Manfredo ?

Is this fight still ON or is it OFF ?

I personally think Manfredo would beat Chavez if they fought.

I think he gives it a good go too. I'd love to see him in with Canelo as well. I really don't think he's far off these guys and can definitely compete if he believes in himself.

Manfredo beats chavez but he better do it by knockout or else he gets robbed.

But of COURSE Chavez Jr. would fight Peter Manfredo, a name directly from Team Chavez's computer, with all the required attributes: light-hitting, recognizable name, game enough to be credible, not a threat to KO Junior.

Papa's not gonna let just anybody threaten that "0".

I don't like Manfredo, but I can't stand Chavez Jr, so I'll be rooting for Manfredo on this one.

Either way, the winner of this fight has a mandatory with Martinez, so whoever wins, will lose that belt after this fight.

I bet if Chavez wins, his chicken ass gives up the belt instead of facing Martinez.

I disagree.

I think Manfredo has some pop. He can def KO Chavez.

Manfredo was hand picked and Jr. wins. I know everyone hates Jr. but he goes to the body pretty well, he is big, young and strong. I agree that he is limited and has been incredibly protected (who isn't these days?) but he still wins. He hasn't fought anyone but he does get top quality sparring and he is game when he does.

I'm not sure, but an Alvarez fight against Jr might be more money then a Martinez fight. Jcc Jr. might go for the best money in his lost. Either against Martinez or Alvarez!!!

BTW, how in the world is Peter ranked?
