Thread: My favorite stand up.

That was very funny, though I don't really think of Atkinson as a stand up comedian. He has clearly stood up and told though as he did there. My favourite comedian is Peter Cook. Also, not really your classic stand up and talk comedian, but has done it in his time.

Billy Connolly is probably what I would term a proper stand up comedian and I think he is very funny.

I've been a big fan of Rowan Atkinson for years. Here in the states he had a show on PBS called the thin blue line. I watched it every friday night. very funny show and he was great on it.

It was alright, but surely you have seen Blackadder. For me series 2-4 were exceptional. Really good scripts IMO. Again not stand up, but great comedy shows.

as many standups as I have seen, nothing ever seems to beat George Carlin for me.

Chris Rock and Eddie Murphy when he was funny.

As someone else mentioned some of george carlins stuff is just awesome, as is chris rocks, richard jeni's a big steaming pile of me was awesome tho, sadly he commited suicide.
