    Default headache after sparring?

i sparred for my 2nd time yesterday. and apparently i learned that i dont keep my damn hands up. i got hit on the forehead a few times and got hit real hard with a straight right that threw my head back but i didnt go down or get blurrred vision or anything. it was a good sparring session.

anyways, after i got done sparring about 5-10 mins after i stepped out of the ring i had a slight headache. really slight, i mean not bad at all. this morning i got up and still have a little headache. i read all over different forums and what not and some say its just my body getting used to taking hits to the head, some say its a minor concussion because a headache is the first sign of one.. what do you guys think?

i deffinitely am not going to spar for atleast a week just to be careful because the brain isnt somethin i wanna fuck around with. i just want to see if anyone else has experienced this when they started sparring

ALSO, the first time i sparred i didnt get this. although i boxed with a huge guy last time, he took it easy on me since it was my first time. this time i went full out as did my opponent

I used to get headaches occasionally after sparring if it's not too bad i wouldn't worry too much. Its not natural to take constant blows to the head so it's to be expected. Just continue taking on plenty of fluids and rest. Obviously if they get worse seek medical help and stay away from sparring.

Your body will need to get used to sparring and the amount of punishment you can take will improve over time.

Just take it easy and dont over do it. Keep yourself hydrated.

i used to get headaches after each sparring match, most of them would last a few days, the remedy seemd to be to go back to practice, the problem presisted until my defense got better

All thats been mentioned is True. There is another thing, the Neck is below the Head honest . It gets a lot of Trauma from impact and balancing that whats above it, the inner Ear your Balance mechanics. We very rarely Stretch it, so it tightens up traps the pathways, then guess what you get.
Pain lasts a only a minute, but the memory will last forever....
