Default Honesty Thread - Tell us one bad trait of your favourite fighter

I got the idea for this thread from hearing either "youre a fanboy" or "youre a hater" when certain arguments are made. Sometimes its justified sometimes not.

soooo..be honest. Show your objectivity and tell us one negative of your fave fighter..

    i'llstart..Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Icalled it a "bitch move" when he turned up 2lbs overweight when he came in against JMM. I still stand by that. Very unprofessional. I also hate his behaviour sometimes. Burning money in clubs? wtf? and talking to 50 cent through a wad of money?? its too forced and fake.

Eubank was my fave growing up. He had a few questionable decisions and didnt fight the opposition that Benn did..but he's still the fuckin man!!!!

    ok your turn..

OK, I'll go through my favorites....

Wladimir Klitschko - at times he's too deliberate, too calculating when he needs to just let the punches fly.

Miguel Cotto - He's too good of a boxer to allow himself to be in so many brawls.

Andy Lee - He's stiff and he gets hit too easy

Peter Quillin - He's too tight, he needs to loosen the delivery of his punches and his handspeed will improve.

Nigel Benn = cheated on his Mrs constantly

Mr Eubank = cheated us fans on not fighting stella opposition

Scott Harrison = waste of tallent

Duran = for going on the piss and not training properly for the 2nd Sugar Ray fight

Khon = for being a total numty out of the ring

Hatton = for not keeping the weight off and pissing it up between fights

Tyson - insecure, thieving criminal, rapist, child molester, coward, cannibal, wasted talent/greatness by chasing too much pussy.

Haha I don't know if I'm gonna allow that one! It's like going to a job interview and when they ask you "So, if there was one thing you'd say you weren't so good at, what would it be?" and you reply with "Well..sometimes I find myself working TOO hard!"

    That's a positive-negative

but yeah I see what you're saying. Marquez is one of my faves and I have a hard time thinking of anything negative about him..Oh yeah, he once drank his own urine. That's good enough.

And Master..Tyson is an easy one!!

Dean Duke..I don't know if you can call Amir Khan one of your faves if you call him "Amir Khon"??

Come on Pacquiao and Joe Calzaghe fans...come out to play

Here's another former favourite of mine : Fernando Vargas

I kinda liked his cocky attitude and how he used to piss off everyone's faves (Tito + De La Hoya), just hated that he would gas and run out of idea's later on in a fight. If he could go down the stretch, I estimate we'd be talking about him as an ATG

    Althugz I love Tyson.

Julio Ceaser Chevaz was a very bad and ungracious loser who never gave credit when he was beat.

Manny Pac... not taking the drug test and not giving Marquez his due.

Ali... massive racist in the 70's and fighting on for far too long

Naz.... never using the rematch clause with Barrera and promising comebacks when he knew he was done.

Mayorga.... taking fully blown shots from guys how could KO him

DLH.... turned into a promoter and his word being as good as kings now

Hatton..... fame turning him into a prima donna

Howard Eastman... frustrated the shit out of me how he couldn't go up a gear

Pele Reid.... not having a chin.

Calzaghe.... waiting too long to have the superfights massive waste IMHO

Zab Judah... Just never winning any meaningful fight

Witter... arrogant to the point of stupidity

    Bruno... thick as pigshit

    Tyson... mentally unhinged

Mia St John... only doing one playboy shot

Wayne McCullough.... just wish the guy had a punch

    Nice list!
Dunno about Ali being a racist..he came up in really racist times and was telling some home truths that people just werent ready for. Did he say anything out of line I may have missed?
Totally forgot about Ali. A definite fave. A true war hero imo for standing up for his beliefs and refusing to shoot down innocent people, even at the expense of his freedom. I hope the U.S issues him an apology for that. Only negative for me was he went on too long. That fight against Holmes was so damn sad. He was a punching bag

    This.

Plus Haye for not having enough faith in himself to give it a go.

The wife got me an old copy of a book he wrote called "the greatest" just after beating foreman and the middle section reeked of anti white stuff to the point I skipped through it as it was that bad and i always remember seeing video footage of him stating he would never date a white women. might sound fine but lets just imagine one of the Klits publicly said they would never date a black woman it would kinda bring it into focus.

Yeah but he's also from a different time and enivornment, he dealt with true racism so I can't begrudge him to much for some unsavory views he may have held. Its the same way we revere many of the founding fathers, yet a shit ton were slave owners, different times and products of different environments.
