    Default Glove Advice

I was gonna get a pair of bag gloves but then I was reading a bit more about it and apparently they aren't as good as just getting sparring/training gloves. Is this true?

I have picked a few pairs but are there any you guys would recommend that are below £100?

Or I was also thinking that because they are the same price and I would only be using them for the bags and pad work then I could get these because official Olympic ones because they should be really high quality. Or are they overpriced and pointless?

You don't really need to get bag gloves, because training/sparring gloves can suffice for it.

Rivals are nice, and so are title's. I like the higher-end Everlast's, but not the cheaper ones.

It all depends about how you do practice and often. If you're not a spartan, perhaps that only a pair of fighting gloves could do otherwise, to get them to last longer, a bag pair can be hefty fine. Rival are very good, solid with a very tight grip for the wrist, in that respect they are one of the most interestingly innovative on the market. You do not go wrong with these pairs. I always loved the Grant a lot too, would I box pro, that's likely the brand I'd go with.
As for the Adidas, I haven't toyed with them much or know personally people using them so I couldn't say much about them but to know how good are the Rival, I'd go for them on a safe value point of view.

You should just buy a pair of sparring gloves...forget about the bag gloves... your sparring gloves can do both sparring and heavy bag punching... I have a friend that bought some rival gloves recently and there great gloves very similar to photo you have posted... but if you have the money to spend, I would buy a high quality pair of real leather Everlast Gloves, I used my buddies Everlast gloves and it feels nice and solid and wicked wrist support. But what ever gloves you buy, make sure the stiching is nice and tight, the glove is real leather, proper OZ you desire, and make sure the thumb feels comfortable when you try it on and I think every glove these days has the "thumb lockdown" feature now. No you can't. The padding in bag gloves gets compressed/displaced a lot faster than sparring gloves, offering your hands and most importantly sparring partner's skull less protection.

Have had all 3 of the brands posted and Rival is the best and it's not even close. Best protection for your hands and wrists, and as well durability.
