Obviously the whole of the boxing commission stinks and can't be trusted from the judges to the ref..all boxing should never ever be allowed in this State ever AGAIN

They have made some right blunders there.

Keep the boxers, just ban the commission....
    oh and Rocky Juarez

All kidding aside, there is much to be looked into. Its baffeling. Be it "fogetting" post fight protocol-rules, judges clearly fed pre fight mescaline or refs making up rules on the fly

They have become the Joe cortez of lower expectations

Is that Texas code for "Our boxing commission is blatantly corrupt to the point that it's obvious even over the common corruption that happens on a daily basis around the rest of the boxing world"?
    If so I agree.

Up until the 12 months or so I never thought of the commission, judges, refs here in Texas being all that bad. Hopefully with enough complaints boxing will get an overhaul here.

Aside from that, i'm sensing a hatred for Texas that has nothing to do with boxing, I mean fuck all of us who happen to live here.

Does Laurence Cole and his father still run the comission down there?

To be fair to Texas...I can't recall a bad decision outside of Houston in recent times. Feel free to fill me in if I missed any. Houston seems to be the problem Diaz-Malignaggi, Juarez-John, Molina-Kirkland and so on.

Lawrence is just a ref, but his dad Dickie runs the commission, and runs it badly I might add.

I remember last year when Sergio Mora fought Brian Vera there, they made Sergio wear another fighters used, sweat soaked gloves for the fight, but not local boy Vera. They told him if he didn't wear them he couldn't fight.

What is so bad about Texas compared to other states?
