Default Using rope across the ring

Am currently using a piece of rope across the ring to do drills on such as rolling hooks and working on footwork I usually do this for 6-8 rounds one round with hand weights and one with hand wraps I was hoping someone might have have any videos or know any other good drills to do using this technique

    Thanks Jay

    Hallo people,

i have a question about boxing with this type of style. Most of the new guys start to box that way based on history reasons. It is nice to be able to evade all the punches and to be able to punch the oponent with all punches, but lets face it we are not Mike Tyson... What give some kind of redundancy of this style is to be able to cover when needed. Now it sounds simple just to lift your hands up, but as with all I think it isn't. It makes me strong impression how some heavyweights get KOed even covered, while having no bad chin... This leaves me thinking what will be the right way to cover up? For example how high must the hands come and on which part on the hand we need to take the punches? Where the glove must be pressed against the head, if pressed? Where do we need to look and must the back be straight in order to get a solid base and not get knocked out of balance?

I would also like to know, as i try not to cover up with a high guard if possible. If this doesn't get answered, make a thread about it. Its a really good question.

Depends on what attributes the Guy youre working with, what suites what is trying to be achieved. This chap is Fast can Punch and is evasive. Theres nothing new, its all been done before believe me. Its trying to fit in what the aim is, He can Box hands up or a Philly type Shell Technique. Whats being shown is a routine for the Line, and how to work He has 120lbs of resistance on Him, its that which should be observed. Why the woodys are crossed from below the Ears to the Feet, helping Balance and Posture while having Resistance off the waist.
