Higgs boson: Prof Stephen Hawking loses $100 bet - Telegraph

The best thing about this article is not that Stephen Hawking lost a bet, or that Professor Higgs is apparently uncomfortable being in the limelight and having his name attached to the thing, or the fact that he was moved to tears at the announcement. It is the knowledge that Proff Higgs is the son of a BBC sound engineer from Newcastle who after being taught at home because of bad asthma went to school in Bristol. Smashing

This is great that the last material piece of the puzzle to the material parts of the universe has been seen, if only a glimpse before it vanished and left measurable gravity or a glue or a bond of types. I still think its all a bit strange how people who are taught how to think and how to decipher things etc, can claim to know more than people who simply allow knowledge in because it exists anyway and those who do so are more open to everything.
This has been a point in case right here.

Its funny that this kind of thing will now make people think from two different directions and it will separate even further some of the lesser but brilliant minds from within the two fields of study (Science and Physics) as seen in the comments section already, by people who know what they are talking about because they've been taught it and now have their fixed points of view. But I think the real new answers in regards to dark matter will come from the ones who will refuse to be drawn into thinking in opposites both universally speaking and from coming from a different direction than others just to prove them wrong or just to feel more correct in their own work.

When they can measure the effects of love or hate (same energy different polls), the materialists who can think only from within material boundaries, will drop off or if they get to see it materially first may even keep it quiet.
