Thread: Raging Bull II?!?!

Apparently Jake Lamatta is getting this film up and going, although MGM is suing him and trying to stop filming. The cast seems pretty decent with stars like Joe Mantegna and Paul Sorvino and William Forsythe playing Old Jake Lamatta (I think that's spot on casting to be honest).

What do you guys think? It obviously won't be as good as the original but hey it's a boxing movie and perhaps it will be decent.

Perhaps it has to do with the naming of the film or something, either way it is reminiscent of CCR suing John Fogherty for "Old Man Is Down The Road" (written & performed by Fogherty) for sounding too much like "Run Through The Jungle" (written & performed by Fogherty while he was with CCR).

It is a little known fact about Jake LaMotta's early life...you have to be real fan to know this...He was a Vampire Hunter.

I don't know much about that vampire stuff, but I'm always ready to see another movie about fighters. If you guys are serious about this
vampire stuff, go to an MMA event or the hospital, somebody always wants blood there.

Wow is that true? I loved Creedence. One of the best ever bands to come from your side of the atlantic. Fortunate son is one of the best songs ever too!

As for Raging Bull II. For me it's the greatest boxing film ever and to make a sequel may just take something from it! Will this be filmed in black and white?

Will it be edited by Thelma Schoonmaker, directed by Scorsese, have a screenplay co-written by Paul Schrader and star Robert de Niro?
