Well this is slightly unfair....RJJ took 'Ripped fuel' that's hardly steroids. And if ANYONE deserves to be in a "Boxing Hall of Shame" it's: Paulie Spadafora (beating his girl), Edwin Valero (killing his girl), Ike Ibeabuchi (seriously injuring his child in a car crash & various other violent activities), James Butler (the infamous sucker punch & murdering Max Kellerman's brother), Carlos Monzon (murder & wife beating), Panama Lewis (drugging his fighters and applying plaster wraps), Luis Resto (using plaster wraps), Antonio Margarito (plaster wraps).

    Good point.

How about tyson and rape! How about mayweather and beating his missus! Riddick Bowe and kidnapping! etc

What was the story behind the jones jr steroid allegation? I thought he took a banned substance? I could be wrong...

It's so rife in the sport that I don't put any of these guys in the hall of shame or nullify their achievments because so many people have done/are still doing it and getting away with it. It happens in boxing..if it's such an issue with you don't watch the sport. Or you'll have to take away at least half of the greats achievements.

And Holyfield was caught..unless you believe that "Evan Fields" was somebody else who Victor Conte served up to

I'm totally with Lyle on this one. Those are real reasons to put somebody in the hall of shame.

Mike Tyson was no angel, he beat Robin Givens, he's admitted it. The rape deal is a bit more complex because I am not so sure Deseree Washington was 100% honest about what happened. Yes Tyson got convicted, but he also had a Tax lawyer pleading his case for him

As for Roy Jones Jr. here's what Boxrec says "A post-fight drug test showed that both Jones and Hall tested positive for androstenedione. On August 2, 2000, Marian Muhammad (then executive secretary of the IBF, the lead sanctioning body for the fight) sent letters to Jones and Hall advising each man that he had tested positive for an unspecified anabolic steroid. No further action was taken" Andro was available over the counter at that time but was banned by the IBF. "The results of Jones' next two drug tests, which were negative, were sent to the Indiana Boxing Commission" that is from Wikipedia (yes I know, it's not perfect, but it'll do).

Luis Resto and Margarito are way high on that list for me. Sure many fighters have less than stellar behavior outside of the ring, but my concerns are for in the ring. And while fighters have done things to increase performance and that is clearly cheating. to directly pull padding out of a glove/and or add cement to hands is about as close to attempted murder during the sport as is possible; short of pulling a gun out and firing. No one can convince me otherwise.

And with the powers that be still allowing Margarito to fight after being caught, in the name of the almighty dollar, even after having Collins/ Resto being the precedent setting case in the matter? That lead to the eventual death of a person, the ruination of others? I then knew it was far too corrupt and sleazy for any, and I mean ANY up and comer to expect a fair shake on their climb to the top. You will need not only skill to get there, but to also be connected, and one hell of a lot of luck.

This sport is basically rigged to the tits.

Yeah, Roy juiced. Andro is a prohormone (steroid)..albeit legal at the time he was caught but on the banned list for sports. You don't get that in Ripped Fuel which is a fat burner. I think he was trying a fast one there. He knew what he was doing.

I'm pretty sure Luis Resto didn't use plaster wraps.... Thought it was removing padding from the gloves...

He admitted it was both Plaster wraps and the removal of padding from the glove.

As for Tyson: He was proven guilty but I really don't believe he was! There is a certain anger I feel from Tyson when anyone even mentions her name. I heard he also records everytime he has sex now so he can prove any accusation false. Not really the acts of a guilty man if you ask me. Only 2 people will ever really know the truth but I don't think it came out in court!

Hold my hands up there then, my bad. Remembered the documentary differently. Thought it was just removal of padding. Hall Of Shame it most certainly is then. Prob near the front of the que TBH.

I used to dump on Ibeabuchi, until my household electrical appliances got possessed and told me to hurt people.
