Another Irishman. this time he is through. Great fight just beat the world champion.
these Irish lads are going hell for leather in these lesser weights good on em .

Bit worried when he show boated in the last round and got caught hard though,that wobbled him.

John Joe Nevin impressed me, he outboxed a very good Cuban opponent today.

That was one of the best performances i've seen (especially considering he was a pretty big underdog).

British guy just took the other semi. What a final for the home crowd, GB-vs-IRE

As I said before, Nevin is annoyingly good.

Which probably means GBR will get silver.

Both fighters, will I hope gives us a cracking final , each one of them have a win over the other, very hard
to pick a winner. Well done to both fighters, us fan's are the winners excellent Olympic final.

I'm hoping Campbell takes it and brings ANOTHER gold medal to Yorkshire BUT I just think Nevin may have a little too much for him.

Agreed. 2 of the best performers in the whole olympics put on a great fight. So did the cuban and ukrainian that followed
