Small card but its action and a solid weekend of action has to start somewhere Olympian Jose Pedraza 10-0 (6) takes on one week sub Tevin Farmer at lightweight.

Jonathan Cepeda 12-0 (11) vs Lamar Russ 10-0 (6) at middleweight

Jermain 'Its a matter of time' Taylor scored a quickie ko on undercard. I don't want to see Taylor get ko'd anymore. And he will.

Um...Joe Cortez has retired as a ref and now is apparently calling fights at Showtime

I screamed out loud "Nooooooooooooooo" when I had seen that Showtime has brought Cortez in to help commentate. I thought that I was rid of that dumbass when he retired.

Cortez is no where near fast enough for a live broadcast. I get what they are doing, but ugh. He's been on camera enough it is

Lamar Russ just came out and embarrassed undefeated Cepeda with a tko two minutes into the 1st. He is HUGE in frame and Cepeda was wobbled off left hook...then dropped on chop right and legs were totally gone, ref waved off. Good stoppage

I'm shooting off an email to Showtime to bitch about this. Do they really not know how hated Cortez is by boxing fans?

BTW that was a quick one.

He looked like he was sleeping. Not sure why they even did interview for a fight they didn't show.... because they'll sign him to soon fight a network favorite and he'll pad a record

Manbaby LIVES The crooked fo-hawk doesn't help.

Farmer is just about done in 4th. Pedroza needs to tighten up for a southpaw, he's just alot of nervous energy. Running the show though.

I don't remember seeing Pedraza before, is this his first time on a tv? That could count for his nervous energy.

Not sure what ref was waiting on in last round. Farmer was just looking to get out with his pride. Good work for Pedraza, southpaw who switched up and got it done.

If Jermain can't fill a place like that, even against a tune up opponent then what kind of leverage would he have in negotiating a purse for a big fight ?

Anyway good first fight, lil bit of a quick stoppage but the guy did walk away from the ref. Not a good sign.

Second fight was mediocre, Farmer is a gusty lil fucker with some skills, but Pedroza shoulda gotten him outta there sooner.
