Default Is Matthysse really the hardest one punch KO artist?

    Or is Randall Bailey?

I'm not so sure Matthysse hits harder than Bailey does with that right hand.

Yes, Lucas punches with great power with BOTH hands and is a better overall fighter by far. Cuts off the ring, feints, combos, defense, etc.

But, I'd like to see them both hit the PSI machine, because Bailey with that one right hand may still be the hardest one punch man in all of boxing.
His power is inhuman with that single punch.

Bailey reminds me of a Bob Foster that never learned about boxing.

I hate hype and bandwagons, so off the top I say no! Meanwhile I'll try to think of someone who is . Don't think its Bailey. Matthysse is actually a two handed fighter and doesn't wait around for you to make mistakes..he makes them for you.

Lol great analogy. I have called him a welter weight Shavers in the past.

Last night they were comparing Lucas to Jackson power wise. Just crazy talk.

Bailey is a great puncher if he can land it. Alexander made Bailey look like a broken robot in their--worst I've seen--fight.

Hype aside I don't think most people here thought that Lucas would get rid of Peterson in 3 rounds. You know he fought this gentleman from..god I wanna say Ghana for 11 rounds and finally that dude went down. I got to google his name, it was on showbox. But damn I'd love for that guy to get some prime time viewing too for he was one tough dude.

He was one tough mother. Just ungodly tough. Afterwards he said "I can take a punch"

    Understatement of the year.

I did. Not that I think Matthysse was as big a banger P4P as Jackson (no one was IMO), but what I was saying is that he has the same kind of power that Jackson had where even a glancing blow can end a night. A true 2-handed KO machine who puts the fear of god in guys even when the punches are blocked.

Regardless of how Matthysse stacks up in p4p punching power, I was impressed by that first knockdown of Peterson. Watching it live, at first I thought he had missed with that wide left hook.... and then Peterson inexplicably tripped and fell. So I was puzzled when it was scored a knockdown. Then I saw the replay and saw how the punch clipped Peterson just above the temple area. As Lamont moved away, in a delayed reaction his feet lost coordination... and he tripped and fell in the corner.

Amazing. Had that punch landed more solidly... or on the chin... there would've been no standing 8-count.

Did Lucas land a clean punch? I didn't see him land a clean punch.

His power is real. It is concussive, scary power. I also think he can box a little bit. Not the best in the business, but he can box. I thought he beat Alexander and Judah in tight fights, but he might have got better since those fights. Judah said afterward that Matthysse is the hardest puncher he has ever faced.
