Fair play to Froch for willing to risk all. Redemption in the U.S would be sweeter than on UK soil. Trouble is Froch is gonna have to fight like he as never fought before to win this fight.

When I first saw this the other day I thought dam he may have brought the Queen onto the board a little early and now I'm of the mind that it was the right thing to do. Carl is basically making a statement of lets not bother fking about with months of venue discussion and just get it done. The mans a modern day Denny Moyer.

A couple of things could derail the chances at least for this year.

1-Carl is going to be faced with a mandatory for his Ibf version. Now I'm not sure who that will be since it was Stevenson who is a little busy but its coming. Now he could just toss the thing if he can get Ward.

2-Goossen is on record saying that Ward most likely needs a tuneup since he's been off for 9 months and that's fair I suppose. Nobody would expect him to fight at any less then 100%. Now if that's the case Froch might as well fight his mandated defense.

I was surprised to read that Las Vegas is its own state. And they have their own boxing commissioner which makes it a neutral venue. New Jersey is also its own state and also has its own boxing commissioner which according to Froch's own logic means that Ward Froch 1 took place in a neutral venue.

I think this is Froch just opening his mouth and saying anything to make the papers more than anything else. Neither guy has fought in Vegas or is liable to be a big draw there so the casinos won't be showering money on this fight. It makes by far the most money in England and that's what it always comes down to.

If Froch can jab like he did vs Kessler and not go wild then he has a chance.

I don't think Ward is unbeatable.

He ruins fights to win em, which is sad because he actually has a great offence.

Use the long jab and jab the hell outta Ward from range, Ward won't be aggressive and attack Froch, if he can do that and get a few early rounds under his belt Ward will have no choice but to attack, and that's when Froch can start getting into a fight.

It could work but it is gonna be tough for Froch.

Froch will fight where he can make most money although Nottingham would be his preferred option if Vegas offers more money he will take it.

I agree but it would be more competitive in England with 3 English judges and an English ref. That would make it a bit closer fight.

Ward is such a great guy and the same can be said about froch.

Froch will fight anyone but even he knows he makes more money by fighting kessler again and possibly a couple of domestics with groves or degale.

Froch body language tells me he was so beaten in that fight against a man with one hand and even though he is reluctant the warrior in him has something to prove.

Dirrell gave froch loads of problems and froch was very lucky in that one.

Andre is on his way to becoming a true legend due to the fact he can adapt to any style and keeps winning.

Jet li was right about that.

    I like Froch.
Mainly because he's not Haye or Naseem.

Duh!!!! yeah!!! he's a pro fighter, he wants to earn as much as he can, why not fight the guy who could possibly give him his best purse? Although I think the fights already been held and doubt very much that it could be better a second time around! You can't blame him for trying and Vegas sure beats the hell out of any venue in England or Europe! Although Milan was always nice!!
He's better off at home where the home cooking he's used to is avalible!! Ray.
