Thread: Anthony Joshua to go pro and join Hearn and Matchroom

The Independent has revealed that Joshua is set to announce a deal with Matchroom to turn professional later this week.

Right people, lets not get acrried away this time

When I watched the Erislandy Savon fight in the olympics, Savon was a much smaller man and stood in front of Joshua and boxed his ears off and hurt him as well I think.

He looked to me to be another Bruno who will struggle with speed and movement but can build up a nice record flattening bums. I think he goes further than Price though. Much further!

What's to disappoint? You guys have a glut of solid young heavyweights.

Amatuer is Amatuer but from the looks of it, JOshua seems to be very very good. IT's just too hard to tell how he'll be as a pro but he's definitely somebody to watch out for.

He looks alot better than the Prices and the Furys of the world..

Not just outboxed but hurt by him and Savon took his power fine.

This will be between the level of Price and Bruno. Not quite good enough to get to a title but dont think he will fail so quickly...

For the record Bruno was better than given credit for, he would have beaten Price ,Fury and Joshua in the same evening.
For a British fighter at HW apart from Lewis , Bruno was pretty good.

Early days lets not write off a guy before his first pro fight.

I have high hopes for Joshua hopefully he is more like Lennox than Audley.

Joshua is a bit robotic, but he's big strong and still a baby in boxing terms, he needs to mature a
bit more may be 18 months more in the amateurs.!
What ever I wish him well, good luck to him.

Bruno would probably beat haye as well. Who knows.

Im sure they wont rush joshua but they will need plenty of wd40 to loosen up them arms and an oil service for that neck.
