Yeah I can't stand Buffer but HBO isn't running many shows, I can't believe Buffer is there though, they are showing this fight on a soccer channel here.

Buffer's announcement gets me more pumped up but Jimmy Lennon Jr sounds more classy..

Lennon Jr has this classic feel.. I like both..

Lennon Jr and Buffer are class and certainly better than the twat who introduces the fights on Sky here in the UK - McDonald or whatever his name is.

They pay him too much.

It's crazy in America, where some folks can get paid so much for doing something that loads of other people could do just as well. Seriously, MC'ing a boxing match is worth about a million dollars every show?

I think they should use that money to pay the undercard boxers more instead as they're actually risking their lives every time they fight. An MC shouldn't be getting paid more than all the undercard fighters' purses put together, for $#!t's sake!!!

Thats a bs rumor, and he confirmed it was a rumor, granted im sure he gets paid more than he should but its not millions per show, or even close

It's funny, I've literally seen him more on that "Progressive" commercial than I have in the ring the last few months.

The MC shouldn't be paid at all. Front row seat to the show is more then enough pay

He drives a drop top Bentley and has a young cute girlfriend, the rumors can't be to far off since that car runs over 200,000.

That will be his net worth, assets etc. he won't have been paid that much, he doesn't have that in the bank, I bet he has all sorts of properties and stocks etc though. A million a show is more than what most of the fighters he announces get after expenses.

How many fights does he call a year? 10? 20? Maybe he gets a million a year.

From what I've seen those lists aren't accurate they say Manny has net worth of 85 million, no way he is taking care of his money like that and no way Buffer got to 120 million

Years ago, right during an HBO ppv broadcast, Larry Merchant was talking about what a rich man Michael Buffer had become just over that one line.

Buffer is worth over $100 million because he trademarked "lets get ready to rumble" which has been used about a billion times in Movies, TV, Music, Video games, commercials etc

His actual fee per fight is a reported $15-30,000 range with expenses. Considering he gets that dozens of times a year it's pretty obvious he's effing loaded.

($1million per gig would be more than the purses for most fights he announces )
