I watched the third video down. Entitled - "David Icke Is Being Proved Right"

You may enjoy it, because it deals with some core beliefs I think you may share, but I must warn you that personally all it actually does for me is prove how manipulative and misleading Icke and many of his ilk are. It reinforces a lot of new age pseudo - mysticism that he spouts and tries to give it credibility by wrapping it up as though it is meaningful science.

In it he quotes the case of Jill Bolte Taylor, a neuroanatomist and first relays and then plays her infamous TED talk "My Stroke of Insight". In it she describes how she remained concious while suffering a stroke and could not see the difference between the atoms in her arm and the wall and everything around her. She brings out a human brain and goes on to talk very emotionally about how it is split into two distinct halves, and how she claims they are completely seperate from each other and have different personalities. She claims that the right hemisphere is all about the here and now and the left one is a linear and rational one concerned with the past and future. She claims we are energy beings and that the right side of her brain gave her this insight whereas the left is a more earthbound thing that says "I am" and that makes us separate from the energy flow around us. This left side was damaged in her stroke and she believes that this is responsible for the primitive illusion that we are separate from the Universe. She calls it her moment of transition. She then goes on to evangalize and suggest that people can choose to step to the right of their left hemispheres. She raises her arm like a born again preacher and intones her words with reverence as though we are being given some heavenly lesson. She says we are the life force power of the Universe with Two cognitive minds. We can choose to step into this mind. This right sided rightness, the true reality. Or we can choose to step into the vastly reduced conciousness of our left hemisphere as a single individual. Separate from the flow and everyone else. She says, "these are the we inside of me"

The problem is reality does not agree with these metaphors that she presents as scientific facts. The split hemisphere stuff stopped being taught in the 1970's. It is bad science and bad philosophy. Like Icke she believes she is sharing insights when she is really demonstrating a breathtaking inability to think and analyse her own thought process. The claim that rationality is what stops people getting in touch with reality is a comforting nonsense, a non-sequitur. She, like Icke, is presenting false comfort, suggesting that world peace is achievable only by abandoning the logical and rational. She seems to be inferring that having a stroke is an "opportunity" a way to get in touch with the Universe. That is not how people who have suffered strokes generally feel and does nothing to help educate families, friends and loved ones of those who suffer cerebral aneurysms. There is a lot of agony and suffering and time, real, rational. seconds ticking away time is a crucial factor in recovery. Why a scientist would delay seeking treatment is just one of many, many questions I have about the validity of her claims. As for David Icke ?

If you like your cake fruity, go ahead, indulge. If we are only here once though, following him will mean you miss quite a lot.

Interesting thoughts you have and yet we are killing the planet off and ourselves; all with the intellectual eventually out doing itself.

People still starve and we are out there with space craft and in amongst the molecules with CERN at a cost that goes beyond billions upon billions.

Personally Im for people going with their heart felt deeper inner feelings then think about it.

Trouble is with all this 'intelligence' around some people are heartless.

But please dont anyone take that comment literally (by going solely with the more male orientated yang side of being over analytical) as we all know the hearts just a pump with no memory or feeling, ahhcem cough cough.

This is all ridiculous though; once again people run scared to either ends of the scale and call insanity on the reverse view, oNce again human instinct attempts to get the majority thinking along side to make it feel even more correct.

Same happens in this forum, just look at all the chat about politics, gun control and religion, people run to either end cause its within their own personal interests and not the other persons.

    Sanity is a balanced outlook.
Life is your perspective and if its a balanced perspective you will stay sane and probably have a heart for others well being, as well as your own.

On the larger % as humans we have generally lost this.
