The picture of those dying kids is so upsetting.
More people will die no matter what choice anyone makes.
Maybe, but at least we can say we personally tried.
Did you see how many people per second from all over the globe are signing the petition? Millions will ask the two men from each side to meet and talk it out.
Once congress say yes its all done.
Obama and whoever else goes in may well end up in front of a Un war crimes commission if they do. Thats what was implied on the news today, because the G3 summit meeting shunned Obama completely, wouldnt walk near him or his couple of supporters, organizers even made them dine separately.
The world sided with Russia.
I really don't think you can ever sort out this , they will never agree.
fuck peace
In some ways BBB is being very astute. What does the West care about a peaceful solution? Over 100,000 people are dead and now people are caring about peaceful solutions? Obama couldn't give two hoots and all he cares about is sending a message to Iran. It's politics and politics seldom gives a damn about peace nor people. I simply argue that America should keep its nose out of a civil war that has nothing to do with it.
Furthermore, peaceful solutions are impossible when America is involved. Take Kerry and his ridiculous Israel/Palestine 'peace' talks as an obvious example. Nothing more than empty posturing and bullshit. It is much the same in Syria. They really couldn't care less about peace or justice.
It really doesn't make sense all the aggression some countries are showing.
Its clearly not a good idea to ask Syria to stop killing people, by dropping bombs on their country. Would be very hypocritical.
Id be a touch worried about whos hands some of the ex Russian mini nukes and other assorted exploding goodies got sneakily sold off to on the black market when they had that melt down all those years ago and sort of went into Russian mafia control for a while.
