    Default What next for Mares

Hey, this has probably been discussed before but I didn't get to see him v Gonzalez until a couple days ago. I have been a fan of Mares and I was surprised when he lost. Anybody hear anything about his next move. Will he rematch Gonzalez, not that Gonzalez needs to do so but it would probably have a lot of interest. He was going to give Ponce a rematch but I guess that is all up in the air

last I heard was there was a rematch clause, and Mares has opted for an immediate rematch, so we'll see

Cool, thanks. I think Mares will bounce back quickly. He made some glaring mistakes against Gonzalez. That is not saying anything bad about Gonzalez it was actually good to see him get it done.

Boxing is a tough sport. In one punch Mares has gone from his promoter talking about him becoming pound for pound number one to having to rematch the guy who sparked him in a round on Broner's undercard.

Mares looked great till he ran into, Johnny boy but Mares can come as what Johnny did, remember
you can't right people off after a defeat.
We do have a tendency in boxing if a fighter is defeated he is finished,! stupid really but we do
part and parcel of boxing fans.
