Most of us believe he will beat his opponent, but will he finally break his KO drought?
It's been years and years....
I'm rootin for him to get a stoppage if at all possible.

He'll fight a safety first fight; less risk that way, picking your spots and getting out of the way.
Archie Moore, on the other hand, always maintained that there was less risk in getting it over with.
He better.
Hopkins said at the weight in he needs a ko tonight so he must be going to really go for it I wouldn't be shocked if Hopkins goes looking for the ko and ends up getting stopped himself.
He probably could, but we'll see.
lol i doubt it.. He doesn't have it in him.. Bernard is just a scared ole guy
Bernard won't go for the stoppage unless the guy is exhausted n helpless. He isn't scared, he's just really smart n won't leave it up to chance at his age.
He had Pavilik n Tarver in bad shape late in those fights n he was content to cruise to the win. Same goes for tonight. He will shut down the other guys offense n then pot shot his way to a victory. If he has a speed advantage n his reflexes r still good he may put on the gas n throw more punches, but he won't go all out for the stoppage. He says the same thing every time so people will watch, but he is just too smart to not be cautious at his age.
I'd love to see Hopkins get the stoppage and wish he would, but I understand his cautious approach.
At his age he shouldn't even be in there competing with prime athletes, let alone schooling them.
He's defied the odds time and time again. I fear there's very little sand left in his hour glass, one or two more fights after this one. He mustn't take this opponent for granted either.
Extreme has started...can a mod do some merging. We have 4,5 threads of different bouts on this same card
Showtime makes a big effort to show everything. Braulio Santos 10-1 (9) is fighting David Clark 6-2 (4) featherweights.
Clark is bad trouble in 1st...well nevermind, Its all overLeft hook ends it and ref waves off.
I'm rolling with it...hope no one minds
Michael Doyle 2-5 vs Zachary Ochoa 4-0 (3)
In what has to be one of the worst mismatches, earlier spr middle Dominic Wade ko'd a bloated and badly out of shape welterweight named Roberto Ventura
I was surprised that he made 172.5. I think he's going to go for it and you could not get a more limited fighter to do it against although Murat does have a chin.
Bernard wearing a wife-beater...he's really serious about this Alien thing huh![]()
With this stuff, he needs a ko for sure. No one wants to watch a geriatric poke and play with his food! EAT Bernard...ko..ko...ko
